Dear all,

I hope you are having a wonderful fall. Louisa Merchant, the refugee ministry coordinator at All Saints, wanted me to share with you the following opportunity to serve the refugee ministry at All Saints:

We would like to take our 23 tutoring students as well as our new family, the Thangs, to the zoo on Nov. 17 but we will need a lot of help to make this happen in the form of transportation, chaperones and donated tickets. We are also looking for tutors for some of our 23 students. If you can give time two Saturdays a month, call Louisa to take part in this wonderful opportunity. Please contact Louisa Merchant at louisam@allsaintsatlanta.org or 404-403-5908 for more information, to donate or to volunteer. Thank you!

She told me that the time from on this would be 10:30AM pickup in Clarkston and leaving the zoo at 2:00PM. We have a family zoo membership that allows for up to four children, so we are going to try and help out on this one.  Please contact Louisa by email or phone if you can help. For some of you Grant Park residents, you may be able to simply show up with your membership card and help get the students in the Zoo.

Thanks,

Saturday Reminder

This is just a reminder that we are meeting this Saturday at All Saints from 10AM-12PM. No agenda, just a time to get together and let the kids play. Bring snacks for your family if you would like. I am looking forward to seeing a lot of new faces.

It is also the Saturday before Holy Baptism and it will be nice for the parents who are coming for the orientation see us in the playground. Also, on Sunday don't be shy about introducing yourself to one of the families of the newly baptized after the service.

Summer over?

It seems that way with Paul starting first grade this morning and swimming pools beginning to close down. When this time of year comes around I always wish for an August ground hog equivalent to let us know we still have plenty of time to enjoy long days and short naps. At least Atlanta's autumn is usually quite pleasant and the end of summer means Kanuga is just around the corner.

First off, I want to announce our next get together on September 8th, from 10AM to 12PM at the All Saints playground. As usual, bring snacks for your families. I have encountered several relatively new families at All Saints this summer and I hope they decide to join our group at this event.

There are a lot of great opportunities at All Saints this fall and you can learn about many of them at the annual Celebration of Ministries Sunday coming up on August 26th. Some highlights for the fall are of course our weekend in Kanuga (with the Popes and Deans leading it is bound to be memorable, so if you've never gone this may be the year not to miss), a Men's supper on September 16, and the fall festival the first weekend of November. I will be letting you know about some of things as they come up, but the bulletin announcements on Sunday are a great way to stay informed as well.

Peace,
Timothy Frilingos

Next get together this Saturday

Happy Easter!

This Saturday, April 14, is going to be another gorgeous Spring day. We hope you can make it to our Little Saints Foyer Group at the All Saints' Pritchett Center playground from 10AM-12PM. Bring your own snacks.

Also, remember that we are going to be participating in a short Little Saints Worship Service and Activity at 11AM. This a great time to see what goes on when you leave your "Little Saint" in the nursery on Sunday Mornings. The story will be the Gospel parable of building your house on the sand or on the rock. Let us know if you are planning on joining us. We've been seeing a lot of new infants in the nursery and I hope some of those families are able to join us as well.

Peace,

Tim and Beth Frilingos

Next Little Saints Foyer Group, April 14

Dear all,

Spring is here and it is time for our next Little Saints foyer group. We will be meeting on April 14, from 10AM to 12PM, in the Pritchett Center playground at All Saints. As always, bring snacks or lunch for your family.

As a special treat we are going to stage a Little Saints worship service during our get-together. Fr. Chuck will be on hand to help guide us through what typically happens during the 9AM hour in the nursery. If you have never stayed or never helped lead the service down in the nursery this will be a great way to see it. Parents with infants and walkers can get a first hand view of what to expect in just a few short years. The service lasts about 10-15 minutes and will be followed by a related activity. Our goal will be to start by 11AM, so try to make it by then. I am hoping to get a good group, so even if your kids are already participating in the Little Saints worship service, don't hesitate to come. Having some "pro's" in the crowd will be helpful.

I will send a reminder as we get closer to the date. It seems a far way off, what with Easter and Spring Break up a head, but it will be here soon.

Thanks,

Timothy Frilingos
