Pet Blessing this Sunday & Kanuga Photos

This is a reminder that this Sunday at 9AM there will be a Pet Blessing in Ellis Hall. This is a great opportunity to take your kids with you to the service so they can experience corporate worship in a relaxed, informal environment. There will be no Little Saints Church or Little Saints Sunday School this week because of the Pet Blessing.

Our next get together will be Nov 13 at All Saints. While the kids play some of us will be helping make lunches for our Habitat volunteers. I am going to be working at the site this Saturday so I will have a better idea what we need to do for lunches. Next week I will ask for volunteers for that day to bring ingredients and help make lunches, while other parents watch the kids. We may even be able to get some of the older kids involved in assembling the lunch bags. If you want to volunteer to help the actual build over the next two months there is still time to sign up. Check it out here.

Another parish retreat to Kanuga has come and gone. It was amazing. The weather was ideal and no trips to Hendersonville E.R. for the Frilingos family. Thanks to Rob and Laurie Burlington for organizing childcare on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Beth and I helped out by leading a hike of 4 year olds around Lake Kanuga. With consistent headcounts and help from Luke Barton, Michael Aiken, Kevin York-Simmons, the Jackoniski's, and the Mauriello's. we brought 18 kids safely back.

Below are some photos from the weekend. It is difficult to make out faces, but the beauty of the camp is evident.
